About Us
Lake Macquarie Field Archers (LMFA) is a 3D Archery Association of Australia ( 3D AAA) club based at Wakefield in Lake Macquarie.
LMFA grounds are approximately 3 km south from the Barnsley roundabout (the roundabout at Out-of-Town 4WD) on Archery Road, Wakefield.
The club was formed in 1985 and has been at this location since then.
LMFA is an Approved Hunting Organization ( AHO) with qualified license testers for G & R hunting licenses.
At LMFA we shoot 3D targets as well as paper targets but in a bush environment. Equipment used ranges from recurve bows to compound bows with optical sights and release aids. If you have no archery equipment but would like to try the sport, we can help. Club members arrive from about 9.00am, with the shoot commencing at 10.00 am.
LMFA usually has two shoots every month, as shown on the calendar below. Members have a key to access the grounds to practice in their own time.
